The journey began in Matihani, Mahottari, around 1983. In 1986 the school was reestablished in Janakpur, in a rented building, with five students. Everything since has been built on that.

The journey begins, founded by Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Sah with a vision to bring quality education to the community.
1986
A rented building and five students. The Managing Director dates the pursuit of excellence to December 1986.
2006
Affiliated to Tribhuvan University — BBS, BA and B.Ed, taught in Janakpurdham.
2020–23
Four consecutive award cycles, alongside Google for Education integration.
Leadership
FOUNDER
Founded Monastic with a vision to bring quality education to the community. The journey began in Matihani, Mahottari around 1983; in 1986 the school was reestablished in Janakpur. The prospectus remembers him under the heading "Always Among Us".
FOUNDER — MONASTIC SCHOOL / COLLEGE
"As a mother, an educator, and the founder, I truly understand what parents seek in a school." Reestablished the school in Janakpur in 1986 in a rented building with five students, and still writes the welcome that opens the prospectus.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
"Our journey in pursuit of excellence began in December 1986." Runs the group day to day and invites families to visit the school/college in the historic kingdom of Janak, where he describes teaching and learning as simple, enjoyable and accessible to students.
PRINCIPAL
"We are committed to providing the highest quality education in a safe, nurturing, and stress-free environment." Leads teaching and learning across the school and college — innovative methods, personalised support, and recognition of each student’s strengths.
DIRECTOR — SPECTRUM LEARNING CENTER
Leads the therapy and special-education centre for children with autism, Down syndrome and learning difficulties, and runs autism awareness sessions for parents and teachers.
